Trix Marshmallow Treats

You guys, Monday’s are hard.

Monday’s are especially hard after you’ve spend the weekend living like a queen in Santa Monica. Yeah, I’m a lucky girl. But more on that later.

I thought I’d make your Monday a little easier and a little sweeter by making you these Trix Marshmallow Treats. I mean, look at them. They’re so fun! They’re so happy! They’re so SO easy.

These are essentially a colorful take on rice crispy treats. There are literally only 3 ingredients and no baking required. Yup, it’s true. The hardest part about making these is stirring the marshmallow mixture into the cereal.

So, if you guys need a little help kicking off your week (like me), give these yummy, colorful treats a try. You won’t regret it, I promise!

Recipe

Prep time: 10 minutes | Total time: 30 minutes

Yield: approximately 16 bars

  • 5 1/2 cups Trix cereal
  • 1 (16 oz) bag of marshmallow
  • 1 tablespoon butter

In a large saucepan over medium-low heat, melt butter and marshmallows together, stirring near constantly. In the largest bowl you can find (you’ll see why), add the cereal. Pour the melted marshmallows over the cereal and stir until combined. Pour the entire mixture in to a baking dish (I used a 9X13 inch dish, but you can use a smaller dimension if you want a thicker bar). Let cool for 20 minutes, cut in to bars and serve up! That’s it! You’re done!
